first aid FOR MENTAL HEALTH Training

People Power Training are now accredited with First Aid Awards (NUCO) to deliver their First Aid for Mental Health suite of qualifications. 

The three First Aid for Mental Health courses are run in a fun and engaging way, and go in varying  detail into a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals and how to seek it (signposting)  

These courses are all about awareness of these conditions, and learning how to spot the warning signs that someone may be struggling with their mental health.  

First Aid for Mental Health is also about creating change about the stigma of mental health and letting everyone know sometimes we all struggle with mental health issues and "its ok, to not be ok."

We can deliver three different First Aid for Mental Health Courses - Level 1, 2, and 3. 

Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health - Level 1

This ½-Day course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help

First Aid for Mental Health - Level 2

This 1-Day course covers the content of the Level 1 course (A ½-Day course aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help) but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace. 

Supervising First Aid for Mental Health - Level 3

This 2-Day course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications but is aimed at Trainer/Assessors and/or supervisor level within the workplace.
